Life can feel difficult for all sorts of reasons.
You or your child might be living with anxiety, ADHD or another form of neurodivergence, carrying the impact of trauma, or feeling weighed down by perfectionism, self-criticism or emotional overwhelm.
Whatever has brought you here, therapy offers a space to understand yourself with curiosity and compassion.
BABCP Accredited Psychological Therapist offering CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and EMDR for adults, young people and children in Banstead and online across the UK.
Whatever has brought you here, my hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel genuinely seen, understood and supported.
Rather than asking what's wrong with you, we'll take time to understand what's happened, what's shaped you, and what makes sense given everything you've experienced. Together, we'll explore what might help life feel a little less overwhelming, in a way that fits who you are, rather than who you feel you should be.
About

I'm Chenelle Owen, a BABCP Accredited Psychological Therapist working with adults, young people and children in Banstead, Surrey and online across the UK.
One of the things that's important to me is creating a space where you don't have to pretend you've got everything figured out before we begin. Some people come to therapy knowing exactly what they want to work on. Others simply know that something doesn't feel quite right, or that life has become harder than it used to be, without really knowing why. Both are equally welcome
.
You don't need to arrive with the right words.
We can find them together.
My work draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and EMDR, adapting each approach to your individual experiences rather than expecting you to fit a particular model. My approach is warm, down to earth and collaborative, with space to be yourself, ask questions, and talk about whatever feels important to you.

Who I work with
Adults
Support for anxiety, trauma, self-criticism, perfectionism and emotional overwhelm. Whether you’re navigating past experiences or present-day stress, therapy offers a space to make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, with greater understanding, clarity and self-compassion.
Together, we work to understand what may be keeping things feeling stuck, and begin moving forward in a way that feels more manageable, supportive and aligned with what matters to you.
Young People
Being a young person can feel really overwhelming at times. You might be dealing with anxiety, overthinking, friendship difficulties, pressure from school or college, low confidence, or feeling exhausted from trying to hold everything together.
Opening up can feel awkward or difficult, especially if you’re used to keeping things to yourself. I offer a calm and supportive space where you can come exactly as you are, without pressure to perform, and we can begin making sense of things together.
Children
I offer therapy for children from around age 7, using creative and age-appropriate approaches to help them express and make sense of their feelings.
I work collaboratively with parents or carers where appropriate, helping to support a child’s emotional wellbeing and understanding their needs.
I also offer short-term support for children preparing for transitions, including starting secondary school, where worries, overwhelm or changes in confidence can begin to show up.
